Camps

Camp Autrey Mill school-break camps. Autrey Mill Nature Preserve, 9770 Autrey Mill Road, runs day camps over Fulton County school breaks, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., with a different nature theme each day. Families can book one day, a few days or the whole week. Its fall 2026 break camp cost $75 a day, or $65 for Autrey Mill family members. Daffodil Days, Saturday, March 28, 2026, noon to 6 p.m. The city’s free spring carnival at the Atlanta Athletic Club fields, 1930 Bobby Jones Drive, with youth rides, inflatables, a rock climbing and ninja wall, and food trucks (city’s Daffodil Days page).
Easter Bunny Hop, Friday, April 3, 2026, 4 to 8 p.m. Goodies, crafts, a DJ and photos with the Easter Bunny around the upper pond at The Boardwalk at Town Center (city’s Bunny Hop page).

Things to do over the break

Feed the goats and walk the trails at Autrey Mill; free, grounds open 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Walk or bike the Cauley Creek Park 5K trail and cross Rogers Bridge to Duluth.
Picnic and play at Newtown, Ocee or Shakerag parks; see kids’ activities.
Paddle or tube the Chattahoochee from the Jones Bridge or Medlock Bridge units; a $5 daily vehicle pass is required (NPS fees page).

What is open

The Fulton County Library System had not posted its 2027 holiday schedule as of Oct. 5; in 2026 its only spring closing was Easter Sunday. The Northeast/Spruill Oaks and Ocee branches are open 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday and Tuesday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday. City Hall keeps its regular hours; city parks are open 6 a.m. to midnight.
