Johns Creek has one American barbecue restaurant inside the city limits, Famous Dave’s on State Bridge Road near Jones Bridge Road. The other three are Korean barbecue, two of them on Medlock Bridge Road and one on McGinnis Ferry Road at the city’s northern edge.

How we made this list. The places come from OpenStreetMap records inside Johns Creek’s city limits, the same data behind our local directory, checked against each place’s own website on Oct. 6, 2026. We added places we found in the Georgia Department of Public Health inspection database and kept them only where the place’s own site gave a Johns Creek address. City Barbeque, on Johns Creek Parkway, has a Johns Creek name but sits just outside the city limits, so it is not listed. The list is alphabetical. Ari Korean Barbecue serves traditional Korean dishes in a modern dining room, its site says, and takes reservations and online orders. It is in Medlock Crossing, the shopping center on Medlock Bridge Road with the Regal movie theater. Its site also has a page for its cake shop.

Arirang K describes lunch and dinner prepared in traditional Korean and Japanese styles, with a full liquor bar and large dining areas for special occasions. Its site lists hours for Tuesday through Sunday only.

BBQ+Rice is a small chain that serves Korean barbecue rice bowls and small plates, with locations in Georgia and California. Its site lists a company phone, not a store phone.

Famous Dave’s is the barbecue chain’s State Bridge Road restaurant. Its menu leads with ribs, and the location page offers online ordering.

From the hours each place publishes:

• Lunch on a weekday: Arirang K (from 11 a.m. Tuesday to Sunday), BBQ+Rice (from 11 a.m. Monday to Saturday) and Famous Dave’s (from 11 a.m. daily). Ari opens at 4 p.m. on weekdays.
• Late: Ari serves until midnight Monday to Thursday and until 1 a.m. Friday and Saturday. Arirang K and Famous Dave’s stay open until 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
• Sunday: Famous Dave’s, Ari and Arirang K are open. BBQ+Rice is closed.
